Volunteering
How do I become a volunteer?
At the Kokomo Rescue Mission we are excited to have those that want to make difference in their community by giving of their time & talents.
Please fill out our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION or our GROUP APPLICATION and email the application to volunteer@rescuekokomo.org or mail it to 321 W. Mulberry, Kokomo, IN 46901
Once we have received your application, our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you soon!
How often would I have to volunteer and how many hours would I have to give?
You may spend as little as two hours serving a meal, or you could spend an entire day in any area such as Open Arms, our shelter for homeless women and children, or in the Red Ribbon Christmas event. We will do our best to match you with an area of interest and the time you are available. Some may want to volunteer weekly or monthly or only for special events.
Is there an age requirement?
We welcome volunteers of all ages. For those serving food in our dining area, you must be 15 years old. Families, youth, community and church groups are welcome to call the Volunteer Coordinator at 765-456-3838 for more information.
